Quarterly reports describe revenues and expenditures at three-month intervals within the fiscal year.
Late in each calendar year, Metro issues its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, which provides information on Metro’s operations and finances. The annual report is used by legislators, creditors, investors, and the public. It contains within it the “Report of Independent Auditors” by outside certified public accountants who audit Metro’s financial records and transactions.
The CAFR also includes the Single Audit, an audit of federal grant programs, as required by Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133.
The Popular Annual Financial Report provides the Metro Council, staff and the public with summary information about the financial position and activities of Metro. The report is designed to concisely present the financial position and results of operations as measured by the financial activity the agency as a whole. It is not audited by an independent auditor and is only intended to present high level summarized information.
