In each report are brief program descriptions, program highlights for the period, regulatory or legislative news that impact programs, and issues to address.
Metro’s fiscal year runs July 1 to June 30. Starting in FY 16-17, management reports are biannual, reporting on the periods July 1-Dec. 31 and Jan. 1-June 30. At the end of each fiscal year the management report is augmented by a balanced scorecard report. It analyzes performance objectives against quantifiable data for aspects of operations ranging from Metro’s bond rating to customer satisfaction with solid waste operations. Metro’s management team uses the balanced scorecard to determine what’s working well and what needs improvement.
