The TV Highway project, supported by a Federal Transit Administration HOPE grant, will complete planning and design for public transit improvements on Oregon Highway 8, better known as the Tualatin Valley Highway. Visit the Tualatin Valley Highway HOPE grant page to learn more.
The equity workshop series will bring together a diverse group of community leaders that see – or want to learn more about – the importance community development and getting involved. All are welcome.
Three two-hour workshops are planned between October 2022 and June 2023.
- 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 29
- 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 11
- 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in June 2023 (TBD)
By attending the three virtual workshops participants will:
- Learn about the transit project and the equitable development project along the Tualatin Valley Highway
- Understand local transportation, strategies to combat displacement, and how to get involved
- Build intercultural relationships with people and community leaders in Washington County
- Help make the Tualatin Valley Highway area a thriving, multi-cultural community that is inclusive of all by providing input to the equitable development strategy.
Although not required, community members who are connected by the Tualatin Valley Highway are encouraged to attend all three workshops as a series to maximize the experience, awareness and contributions of their perspectives.
Stipends are available for the first 25 participants to register.
