We have decided to cancel this workshop due to anticipated inclement weather. The safety of community members is a top priority for Metro. Please plan to join us at the Feb. 12 workshop or contact us to learn more outside of a workshop.
Join us to learn about how to apply for a sponsorship program to hold community-led activities for communities of color at Metro’s parks and natural areas!
Would you like to build your community’s capacity and connect with nature in the greater Portland region? These sponsorships provide funding and Metro staff support for community-based organizations and groups led by and for communities of color* to explore Metro parks and natural areas and create culturally relevant activities, classes and events.
This workshop is free and no RSVP is required. There will be time for questions.
Food will be provided. Children are welcome to join you though childcare is not provided.
Unable to attend?
There is also a workshop being held on February 12, 2020.
You can find more information and application materials at oregonmetro.gov/parkspartnerships and you are always welcome to contact the program manager, Sheilagh Diez.
* Metro shares the Coalition for Communities of Color recognition of the following communities of color: African, African American, Asian and Pacific Islander, Latinx, Middle Eastern and North African, Native American and Slavic. Metro includes groups that serve a multi-cultural community comprised primarily of members of the groups listed above.
