Metro, Oregon AFSCME and COGIC (Church of God in Christ) invite you to come together with public service employees, community leaders, labor activists and members of the faith community to celebrate and honor Reverend Dr. King.
Speakers from faith, labor and public service along with a celebration by special youth guests will engage, activate and call to action the fight for economic and racial justice. A call to action reception will follow event.

Moment of silence
Beginning at 4:01 p.m, the community will honor the legacy of Dr. Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. by observing a one-minute moment of silence.
At 4:07 p.m., there will be a bell toll by faith and community leaders -- 39 times for the years Dr. King was on this Earth.
