Metro is working with partners and transit providers around the Portland region to embark on the next generation of regional transit planning. The transit work group will address the Regional Transit Strategy component of the 2018 Regional Transportation Plan update.
There are eight technical work groups to address the policy priorities through the 2018 Regional Transportation Plan update. The work groups advise Metro staff on implementing policy direction from the Metro Council, the Metro Policy Advisory Committee and the Joint Policy Advisory Committee on Transportation. The work groups review draft materials and analysis, keep their respective elected officials and agency/organization’s leadership informed and integrate input from partners and the public to develop recommendations to Metro staff.
Work group members include topical experts and representatives from the Metro Technical Advisory Committee and the Transportation Policy Alternatives Committee or the designees of members.
