Metro works to generate jobs, protect water and wildlife, and create communities people want to call home. You are a part of this mission when you work at Metro.
Help make a difference
- Metro is committed to hiring and supporting staff who reflect the diversity of our communities and creating safe and welcoming workplaces across our locations.
- Metro invests in businesses and projects that serve communities of color and use an equitable and inclusive process for developing our plans and policies.
Build awareness, skills and connections
- The diversity, equity and inclusion program offers events, trainings, tools and resources.
- A diversity, equity and inclusion book club offers Metro employees a year-round opportunity to broaden perspectives.
Employee resource groups
Metro supports employee resource groups for people of color and the LGBTQ+ community. The groups are led by employees and meet monthly to share experiences and engage in self-directed efforts to create a supportive workplace, build community and share resources. The groups also provide opportunities for leadership and professional development including collaboration with Metro’s senior leadership team. Meetings are covered as paid time and participation is voluntary.
