I hope that you, your family and friends have been enjoying a fun-filled summer. The long sunny dry days won’t last forever, so here are some ideas for how you might make the most of them.
I find it fascinating to learn how things are put together, and that includes construction projects. The Oregon Zoo has two new exhibit construction projects underway – Elephant Lands and a new Condor Exhibit. Why not come check them out on your next visit to the Oregon Zoo?
There are more connected trails in our region to enjoy too. Check out the fun videos, stories and maps available via The Intertwine.
Looking for some guided walks or tours of place? Check out GreenScene, a seasonal publication of fun events hosted by Metro and other regional partners. You can find GreenScene online and there are hard copies available at many local libraries as well.
And for music to your ears… There are concerts at the Oregon Zoo through Sept. 6, free summer concerts on Thursday evenings on the Plaza at the Oregon Convention Center, and Music on Main Street in downtown Portland on Wednesday evenings through Aug. 28.
