Description of facility/application

Tire Disposal & Recycling, Inc. has submitted an application for a renewed solid waste facility license to operate a waste tire processing facility. If approved, the renewed license would allow Tire Disposal & Recycling to continue to accept automobile, truck and heavy equipment tires for the purpose of recovering rubber for use as production feedstock and fuel. The applicant has operated under Metro authorization since 2000. The site is located within a Heavy Industrial (IHh) and the proposed use is allowed outright in this zone by the city of Portland.

Comment period ends May 15, 2015.
