Grab your friends and family and come out to Oxbow for Kids to Parks Day. You can help us celebrate the public grand opening of the new Oxbow Welcome Center and the two new, all-abilities nature play areas at Oxbow Regional Park.
Stop by the new welcome center to preview some of the plants and wildlife you might see on your visit. Grab a park map and a kids' activity, then set out for the sand and water nature play area, explore the river and Ancient Forest or build a temporary shelter at the camping nature play area. Oh, and be sure to snag a sticky, delicious s'more from the s'mores cart that will be onsite from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Arrive by 11 a.m. if you want to catch the ribbon cutting at the new sand and water nature play area. This will be a free parking day. Just tell the booth attendant you're here for the event and they'll give you a parking pass.
This event is open to everyone and will take place rain or shine. As always, we ask you to leave your furry friends at home. While we love pets, our wildlife does not. Thanks!
We look forward to seeing you!
