Those who wander may not be lost. Join us at Metro parks and find wandering naturalists who can answer your questions about the park, trail, plants, wildlife and more. Drop-in activities like Storytime in the Park may be on the schedule too! See sample schedule below. Drop-in activity topics vary and span from wilderness skills, plant identification to mindfulness exercises. Meet at the Natural Discovery garden near the Spray Pad. Location indicated by the ladybug on the Blue Lake Park map. No registration required.
Sample schedule :
10:00 to 10:30 a.m. – Morning session for stories or other drop-in activities.
10:45 to noon - Park Educator walk
12:30 to 1 p.m. – Afternoon session for stories or other drop-in activities.
1:15 to 2 p.m. - Park Educator walk"

Pet policy: To protect plants, wildlife and people, Metro does not allow pets at most regional parks and natural areas. Pets can damage sensitive habitat and threaten wildlife the region has worked to protect. In natural areas where dogs are not allowed, people see more wildlife and get closer to it. Seeing-eye dogs or other service animals are allowed. Please bring cleanup materials.
