Transportation Policy Alternatives Committee

About Metro    Committees and public participation    Metro advisory committees    Transportation Policy Alternatives Committee

This committee provides technical input to the Joint Policy Advisory Committee on Transportation on transportation planning and funding priorities for the Portland metropolitan region.

While the Joint Policy Advisory Committee on Transportation (JPACT) provides a forum for recommendations on transportation issues at the policy level, the Transportation Policy Alternatives Committee (TPAC) provides input from the technical level.

TPAC's 21 members consist of technical staff from the same governments and agencies as JPACT, plus a representative from the Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council and six community representatives appointed by the Metro Council. In addition, the Federal Highway Administration and C-TRAN have appointed an associate non-voting member to the committee.
