Raven experienced homelessness for about seven years, starting with an eviction in 2015. After almost dying in a motorcycle accident when he was hit by a drunk driver, Raven and his husband Dash cycled through a number of shelters until they started working with Do Good Multnomah's Mobile Support Services team and were housed last summer in the newly opened Portland Housing Bond apartment community, Cathedral Village. The MSS team continues to support them in this transition, including helping Raven manage his physical and mental healthcare. The MSS program and the couple’s housing subsidy are paid for with Metro's supportive housing services fund.
