The Metro Auditor, elected region-wide, is responsible for conducting performance audits and oversight of Metro's annual financial statements.

How do we measure success?

Through a partnership with leaders at Metro and Portland State University's Institute of Portland Metropolitan Studies, the Greater Portland Pulse (formerly known as the Greater Portland-Vancouver Indicators) tracks the the region's well-being by choosing, measuring and using a set of inter-related indicators in nine areas.

Follow the work of the nine regional teams as they collaborate on measuring progress toward shared social, economic and environmental goals.

Natural Areas Program

Oversight committee makes first report to citizens
The Natural Areas Program Performance Oversight Committee presented their first annual report to the Metro Council in October. The committee, made up of citizens from around the region, finds that "Metro is conducting the Natural Areas Program in a way that is accountable and transparent."
