Update January 24, 2019: Metro has accepted the final product and we are moving ahead with distribution to the consortium members and creating the cache for updating the web services. As soon as the delivery is complete, approximately one week, invoices will be sent to consortium members. See project schedule below.
The Regional Aerial Photo Consortium enables the joint purchase of digital aerial orthophotography by local governments and nonprofit groups in the Portland area. Consortium purchase reduces each member's cost of obtaining photography through cost sharing. The digital imagery available includes the urban areas of Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties. In some years, the coverage is expanded to include rural areas, LiDAR and LiDAR derivatives. The intent of the consortium is to provide for a cost-effective means to acquire digital orthophotography on an annual basis.
The urban area covers 656 square miles. The urban/rural coverage covers 973 square miles.
