Free Metro parks days 2016

Thanks in part to voter investments, new docks were installed at Chinook Landing Marine Park in January 2016. Chinook Landing is one of the state's most popular boat ramps.

Boaters accessing the Columbia River will be able to park for free at M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp and Chinook Landing Marine Park during nine days in 2016 as part of efforts to provide all residents with better access to nature. Visitors to Chinook Landing will be able to take advantage of new aluminum docks with fiberglass decking installed this winter, thanks in part to voter investments.

Enjoy free parking at Oxbow and Blue Lake regional parks, Broughton Beach, M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp and Chinook Landing Marine Park on Feb. 15, April 22, May 21, June 18, July 7, Oct. 14, Nov. 11 and 25, and Dec. 23, 2016, as well as Jan. 16, 2017.

Parking at all other Metro parks and boat ramps is free year-round.
