For single family homes and four-plexes
If you live in a home ranging in size from a single-family residence to a four-plex, you can also set out motor oil and yard waste at the curb.
- motor oil: put motor oil in clear, leak-proof plastic containers with a tight screw-on lid (milk jugs or soda bottles work well). No containers larger than 1 gallon.
- yard debris: in your yard debris container, include branches (no more than four inches thick and 36 inches long), weeds, leaves, vines, grass, house plants, flowers, vegetables, pumpkins; do not include dirt, rocks, ashes or treated wood, pet waste or branches more than four inches thick.
For multi-family apartment buildings
If you live in an apartment building with more than four units, or have containers larger than 1 gallon, search Metro's online database for recycling options near you.
