How can I use MetroMap?
MetroMap is a tool that lets people access more than 40 regularly updated maps of greater Portland. It is useful for planners, developers and citizens who want to quickly answer questions like:
- What is the taxlot ID, address or county for a location of interest?
- I’m interested in developing a parcel of land. Are there steep slopes or wetlands that could make the land unsuitable for development?
- Are there bike routes near a potential site for a new park?
- Is the apartment complex I’m considering moving into located in a flood hazard area?
- When was my home built?
MetroMap lets you search for an address, a taxlot ID and certain points of interest like schools, parks and major venues. You can also click or tap on any point on the map to learn more about it. The basemap options include high-resolution aerial photos that can help you understand how a property is being used.
Who is MetroMap for?
Everyone! The tool was built to work on cell phones, tablets and desktop computers alike. MetroMap also has enhanced accessibility features to make it easier to use for everyone, including those with reduced vision.
