A transportation system that is safe for everyone is a top priority for communities across the greater Portland region. More and more communities are adopting Vision Zero or Towards Zero Deaths policies, signifying the importance of transportation safety to achieving a wide variety of community goals.
Metro is helping communities achieve these goals by including the safe system approach as a cornerstone of the 2023 Regional Transportation Plan.
