Metro is proposing administrative rules to give direction and add clarity to the new Metro tax codes that allow the agency to implement, collect and enforce personal and business income taxes. These chapters were adopted by Metro Council in December 2020 as part of the Supportive Housing Services tax implementation.
Proposed income tax administrative rules
The following document compares the proposed Metro business income tax administrative rules to the rules for the City of Portland business license tax and Multnomah County business income tax. This is not part of the proposed administrative rules, but is included as a helpful reference document.
