Metro’s large-scale community visions grant program supports innovative capital projects that bring together nature, job opportunities, affordable housing and safe transportation. As greater Portland grows, experiences a housing crisis and feels the effects of climate change, it becomes clearer and clearer that these challenges must be faced together. Through the large-scale community visions program, Metro will support projects across greater Portland that inspire new ways to meet these challenges.
The program is part of the 2019 parks and nature bond measure. It will provide up to $30 million in funding for projects that meet the measure’s racial equity, community engagement and climate resilience criteria. The first funding cycle will provide $10 million.
