Before the guiding principles, there were core values. The core values served as the initial set of goals for this project. They were developed by the internal project team at Metro, the Metropolitan Exposition Recreation Commission and the Metro Council.
The core values were presented to key stakeholders during a series of workshops held between January 2020 and March 2021. Participants in these workshops helped to refine core values, turning them into the guiding principles.
