Metro South community advisory group
Diverse perspectives and voices make our regional government more socially just and equitable.
Metro, in partnership with Unite Oregon, have convened community members to advise on the location , design and services provided at a new recycling and transfer center in Clackamas County.
Members of the group provided input in late 2020 and early 2021 to develop community criteria for the current property under consideration in Clackamas. Group members will also be engaged in discussions to inform the design, services and operations of the new transfer station when the final location is confirmed.
Members of the community advisory group consist of people who people who live, work, worship or attend school within 5 miles of the existing Metro South transfer station and people of color and youth between the ages of 16-23 who live in Clackamas county.
