Discover how worms help plants, beetles beat bad bugs, fungi fertilize soil, and how other wild creatures can help your garden grow. Dig in an active worm bin, find “fossils” in the ground, mix and take your own natural fertilizers, make a soil superhero bookmark or create other cool soil crafts. Come for the garden and stay to enjoy the many recreational activities at Blue Lake Regional Park. Free with $5 per vehicle ($7 per bus) fee; free for bicycles and pedestrians.
This summer's guided activities happen from 1 to 5 p.m., Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, June through August. The garden is open for self-guided visits 8 a.m. to sunset, daily.
