The Nature in Neighborhoods Capital Grants program uses funding from the 2006 Natural Areas bond measure to help nature thrive in neighborhoods and the built environment. The committee reviews all applications and makes funding recommendations to the Metro Council based on the grant program’s key and supplemental criteria. The grant review committee is comprised of Metro Councilors, water quality specialists, natural resource and fish and wildlife experts and other community representatives from neighborhoods, non-profits, parks, design firms, development agencies or businesses.
