Enjoy the magic of summer evenings at the Oregon zoo at a reduced price, while learning how to attract beneficial wildlife to your garden. On select Tuesdays, the Zoo remains open later for a festive evening, where you can eat dinner outdoors from local food carts, sample great Oregon beers, listen to live music and let your kids run around or try crafty activities—all while hanging out with crepuscular creatures such as lions, tigers and bears.
Metro's natural gardening educators will provide free gardening resources, kid's coloring activity booklets and free "I protect wildlife!" buttons at one of the activity stations. Oregon State University Master Gardeners will also be on hand to answer gardening questions.
- Admission is only $9 per person after 4 p.m., and free for zoo members.
- Zoo gates will close at 8 p.m. (instead of the standard summer hours of 6 p.m.), with grounds being open until 9 p.m.
- Ride MAX light rail or a TriMet bus to the zoo and receive an additional $1.50 off the already discounted admission (with proof of ridership). Explore transportation options
