Firefighters’ Cemetery flag raising
10 a.m.
Portland Fire and Rescue Engine 9 will raise the flag at the firefighters’ section.
10 a.m. to noon
Hear the stories of firefighters buried at Lone Fir. The crew of Portland Fire and Rescue Engine 9 will offer kids the chance to get up close to and learn about a fire engine.
Guided historical tours
11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Join a guide from Friends of Lone Fir Cemetery to discover the past and present of one of Oregon’s oldest active cemeteries. The tour takes approximately two hours, meet at the Soldiers Memorial.
Guided veterans tours
Noon and 2 p.m.
Learn about and visit the graves of veterans of America's 19th and 20th century wars. The tour takes approximately 45 minutes, meet at the Soldiers Memorial.
Self-guided police tours
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Learn about the Portland Police Officers buried at Lone Fir. Tour guide booklets available at the Portland Police Historical Society’s tent along with knowledgeable staff willing to answer any questions about the tour, officers, and the Historical Society.
