Note: This is an unpaid internship. Open to students receiving academic credit from an educational institution and to students interested in working as part of a school-sponsored work-study program (subject to the availability of funds).

Duties and responsibilities
- Legal research
- Draft legal memoranda and provide legal opinions and advice on regional municipal law, including work related to urban and transportation planning, solid waste and recycling, regional parks, labor and employment, and other matters of municipal law
- Assist in drafting municipal legislation
- Assist in the preparation of pleadings in civil matters
- Attend meetings with clients and citizens
Required skills, qualifications and education
- Successful completion of at least one year (two preferred) of classes at an accredited law school

Knowledge and proficiency at computer word processing and electronic legal research.
