About Metro    Mission, charter and code    The Metro Code

Read the Metro Code, the body of laws enacted by the Metro Council under the authority of the Metro Charter.

The Metro Code is divided into titles, each corresponding to an area of Metro's jurisdiction under the charter (planning, solid waste, etc.). The Council adopts or amends code provisions by ordinance. Some sections have been repealed or otherwise deleted. The code is periodically revised as new ordinances are adopted by the Council. Chapters or parts of chapters are re-published as amendments become effective.

These chapters of the code have been repealed or otherwise deleted:

2.10 Voters' Pamphlet (repealed Ord. 93-517B § 2)

3.05 Phosphorus Ban (expired Dec. 31, 1994)
3.08 Affordable Housing Technical Advisory Committee (repealed Ord. 00-860A § 2)
5.08 Rate Review Committee (repealed Ord. 00-860A § 2)
8.01 Financing Powers (moved to Chapter 7.02, Ord. 02-976 § 1)
