This data provides information necessary to monitor the transportation system, to understand current characteristics and establish a basis for comparison to forecasted future conditions.

Each year, Metro gathers data to define and evaluate the region's transportation system. Data collected and summarized includes:

Daily vehicle miles of travel per person compared to the U.S. average

Compare the Portland metropolitan area's daily vehicle miles of travel (DVMT) per capita and the United States national average, 1990-2011.
