Elementary school recycling education resources

Metro offers free puppet shows, classroom presentations, curriculum materials and a field trip guide for area recycling facilities and gardening organizations to elementary schools in the metro region.

Middle and high school recycling education resources

Metro provides presentations, curriculum, videos, teacher workshops, community service projects and a field trip guide for area recycling facilities and gardening organizations for students in grades 6 through 12.

Technical assistance for school recycling programs

Schools in the metro region can get help with their recycling programs.

Oregon Green Schools program

Metro partners with the Oregon Green Schools association to provide technical assistance and recognition for school waste reduction achievements.

Earth Day billboard art contest winners

Metro’s 2009 Earth Day billboard art contest received more than 2,400 entries from students representing 106 Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington county schools. Check out the winning and honorable-mention designs.
