Use this list of cities and counties to prepare Christmas trees for your curbside recycling yard debris service.

  

Aloha

Aloha Garbage and Recycling customers: regular yard debris day, counts as that weeks yard debris. Additional yard debris can be set out with tree for a fee. Cut trees into lengths less than 6 feet and able to fit into yard debris bin, place in bin. Must be loose enough to fall easily out of the bin. No tinsel, stands, ornaments, etc. Wreaths must have metal and other non-plant material removed. Flocked trees are considered garbage. When put out as such, extra garbage fees will apply.

Banks

Cut tree into pieces small enough to fit into yard debris cart and set out on yard debris day (every other week). No tinsel, tree stands or other added materials. Flocked trees and trees not put in yard debris containers will be picked up as garbage and will be charged an extra fee. Wreaths must have wire and any other non-plant materials removed.

Beaverton

Tree must be inside the yard debris cart and at the curb by 6 a.m. on scheduled yard debris collection day. No tinsel, tree stands, or other added materials. Additional yard debris will be taken for a charge.

Canby, inside city limits

Christmas tree must fit into yard debris cart with the lid closed. If it doesn't, cut it in half or thirds and put it out in the yard debris cart the next week or the week after if needed. A tree set out for pick up that is not in the yard debris cart may incur an extra charge. Flocked trees are OK. No tinsel, decorations or stands.

Clackamas County, unincorporated inside the urban growth boundary

Cornelius

Durham

Allied Waste customers: a Christmas tree counts as a regular yard debris set-out. It must fit into your yard cart with the lid closed. If it doesn't, cut it in half or thirds and put it out in the yard debris cart the next week or the week after if needed. A tree set out for pick up that is not in the yard debris cart may incur an extra charge. Flocked trees are OK. No tinsel, decorations or stands. Allied Waste customers living outside of the Urban Growth Boundary are encouraged to use nonprofit groups that are conducting tree recycling.

Pride Disposal customers: tree can be placed out in lieu of yard debris on regular pick-up day. Trees over 5 feet should be cut in half. An extra fee will apply. All tinsel, stands and other non-plant material must be removed. Flocked trees are accepted with no extra fees. If additional yard debris is also put out, extra fees will apply.

Estacada

No yard debris program.

Fairview

Can be placed out in lieu of tree on yard debris at no extra cost. If tree is put out with yard debris, an extra fee will be charged. No flocked trees. Stands, ornaments, etc. must be removed.

Forest Grove

Regular yard debris day, counts as weekly yard debris set out. Additional yard debris can be set out with tree for a fee. Cut trees into lengths less than 6 feet and able to fit into yard debris bin, place in bin. Must be loose enough to fall easily out of the bin. Gladstone

Gresham

Curbside customers may recycle their trees in place of regular yard debris set out at no extra charge. It is appreciated if trees over 6 feet tall are cut in half. All trees collected in place of yard debris must be less than 8 feet tall. Please contact your hauler if yours is more than 8 feet tall. Flocked trees are acceptable. Trees with tinsel or ornaments may not be recycled; please remove those items.

Happy Valley

Maywood Park

Trees may be left whole at the curb on yard debris collection day (every other week). Trees less than eight feet tall are an additional $4, taller trees are $6. Trees can be cut up and placed in green yard debris roll cart at no additional charge. Flocked trees OK. No tinsel, ornaments or stands. Trees will not be accepted with garbage and will only be accepted as yard debris.

Milwaukie

Christmas tree must fit into yard debris cart with the lid closed. Molalla

Weekly collection. Cut in half if large. Counts as weekly set out of yard debris. This collection lasts for 2-3 weeks after Christmas at no extra charge.

North Plains

No yard debris program. Some haulers offer special pick up of holiday trees for a small charge. Call hauler or use depots or nonprofits.

Oregon City

Trees may be left whole at the curb on yard debris collection day (every other week). Trees less than eight feet tall are an additional $4, taller trees are $6. Trees can be cut up and placed in green yard debris roll cart at no additional charge. Flocked trees OK. No tinsel, ornaments or stands. Trees will not be accepted with garbage and will only be accepted as yard debris.

Sandy

Christmas tree must fit into yard debris cart with the lid closed. If it doesn't, cut it in half or thirds and put it out in the yard debris cart the next week or the week after if needed. A tree set out for pick up that is not in the yard debris cart may incur an extra charge. Flocked trees are OK. No tinsel, decorations or stands.

Sherwood

Tree can be placed out in lieu of yard debris on regular pick-up day. Trees over 5 feet should be cut in half. An extra fee will apply. All tinsel, stands and other non-plant material must be removed. Flocked trees are accepted with no extra fees. If additional yard debris is also put out, extra fees will apply.

Tigard

Tree can be placed out in lieu of yard debris on regular pick-up day. Trees over 5 feet should be cut in half. An extra fee will apply. Troutdale

Trees shorter than 8 feet will be collected by Waste Management in place of regular yard debris at no charge. Trees do not need to be placed in yard debris bins. If your tree is taller than 8 feet, please call Waste Management at 503-249-8078 for collection costs and arrangements. There will be an extra charge for any additional yard waste collected the same week as your tree. Please, no flocked trees, tinsel, stands, or ornaments.

Tualatin

Urban unincorporated: tree to curb by 6 a.m. on regular yard debris day (every other week). Cut trees into lengths less than 6 feet. No flocked trees, tinsel, ornaments or stands.

Unincorporated areas served by Pride Disposal: tree can be placed out in lieu of yard debris on regular pick-up day. Trees over 5 feet should be cut in half. An extra fee will apply. All tinsel, stands and other non-plant material must be removed. Flocked trees are accepted with no extra fees. If additional yard debris is also put out, extra fees will apply.

West Linn
