Moratorium on sales of burial plots at Lone Fir and Multnomah cemeteries
Metro has suspended sales of burial plots at Lone Fir and Multnomah Park cemeteries as part of a comprehensive effort to preserve and protect graves.

Metro's pioneer cemeteries not only offer a unique look into the past, but are managed as active facilities. Find out about prices for gravesite selection and other services.
Metro operates 14 historic pioneer cemeteries in Multnomah County. For more information about gravesite selection or terms for immediate need, call 503-797-1709. Metro's cemetery office is located at Metro Regional Center, 600 NE Grand Ave., Portland.
Cemetery and grave selection
All gravesites are priced as follows and come with a temporary concrete marker that may be replaced with a permanent marker of your choice.

Maintenance Trust Fund surcharge
The Maintenance Trust Fund surcharge will be added in addition to all grave and niche space purchase prices.
Grave: 15 percent of sale price
Niche: 5 percent of sale price
Grave opening and closing
Adult box or vault: $650
Adult box, oversized: $675
Double depth: $800
Child/infant: $300
Cremation burial in ground: $400
Cremation niche space: $360
Outer burial containers
Outer burial containers are required in all Metro cemeteries. Funeral homes furnishing an outer burial container of any kind must notify and have approval from Metro prior to placement within a Metro cemetery.
Concrete boxes
2 feet to 2 ½ feet: $195
3½ feet: $200
4½ feet: $225
Adult single: $450
Adult single oversized: $625
Cremation liner: $100
Vaults
A variety of vaults are available for prices ranging from $795 to $6,500. A price list is available at the cemetery office.
Additional services
Saturday overtime: $300
Sunday/holiday overtime: $650
Weekday overtime per hour after 3:30 p.m.: $150
Engraving niche space: $150
Second rite of interment
Adult: $200
Child and cremation: $150
Payment in full is required on all sales and in advance of services. This facility is licensed by the Oregon State Mortuary and Cemetery Board.
