Metro works with the Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council in Vancouver, Wash., to coordinate land-use and transportation issues of bi-state significance. The name of the committee was changed to reflect the addition of land-use issues.
The Bi-State Coordination Committee is a subcommittee of Metro's Joint Regional Policy Advisory Committee on Transportation (JPACT) and Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council (RTC). The role of the committee is to review transportation and land-use issues of bi-state significance and to present recommended actions to JPACT and RTC. The committee is comprised of six members from Clark County and seven members from the Portland metro area.
