The North Portland Enhancement Committee will distribute remaining enhancement funding to the community by 2018.

At their meeting in May 2013, Metro’s North Portland Enhancement Committee finalized the next steps for distributing the remaining $1.6 million in the enhancement fund by 2018. Letters of interest for capacity building grants are now being solicited by the Committee from organizations and individuals that support the neighborhoods of University Park, Arbor Lodge, Portsmouth, Overlook, Cathedral Park, St. Johns and Kenton. Membership

Metro Councilor Sam Chase, District 5, chairs the North Portland Enhancement Committee. Seven citizens serve on the committee, each living in and representing a neighborhood in the North Portland target area.

Recruitment is underway for a neighborhood representative from Arbor Lodge. Interested residents from the neighborhood must complete an Applicant Interest Form by 5 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2013.
