Internships are a way for individuals to explore career options in public service, fulfill educational requirements, learn more about Metro and help achieve Metro's mission by working on projects that support program efforts.
Current internship opportunities
Legal Intern
Office of Metro Attorney
One or two unpaid positions
Start date: Approximately Sept. 1, Jan. 15 and June 1 each year
End date: Approximately three months after start date
Wildlife Monitoring Intern
Sustainability Center
Multiple unpaid internships available
Approximately 10 hours per week, January through April
Applications will be accepted until positions are filled
Internships at the Oregon Zoo
It's a jungle out there... Why not prepare for it with an internship at the zoo? The zoo has internships in many professional fields. Most internships are unpaid, but we'll give you a great deal of responsibility and make sure you learn a lot. Plus, you'll get to hang out with the animals for a term.
