Tualatin Basin plan

Planning and conservation    Natural areas, parks and trails    Protecting habitat and water    Tualatin Basin plan

A consortium of eight cities, Washington County, Clean Water Services and the Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District, in coordination with Metro, developed its own fish and wildlife habitat protection program for the Tualatin Basin.

The basin approach uses existing Clean Water Services protection standards coupled with expansion of a capital program to support restoration and volunteer activities. Metro passed a resolution to approve the Tualatin Basin approach as part of the regional program.

The Tualatin Basin Natural Resources Coordinating Committee submitted its final program implementation report to Metro on Feb. 5, 2007.
