Metro has drafted a model ordinance to help cities and counties comply with habitat protection requirements. Conceptual diagrams illustrate how habitat conservation areas would be affected by the model ordinance.
Cities and counties can amend their local comprehensive plans and land-use regulations to comply with Metro’s Urban Growth Management Functional Plan three ways:
Metro has prepared conceptual diagrams that illustrate how habitat conservation areas would be affected by the model ordinance. These diagrams include a visual depiction of the ordinance applied to various habitat conservation areas. Note: the diagrams were originally designed as posters, and are on a large paper size.
